Painesville Township now has two pickleball courts located at Clyde C. Hadden Park.

Once confirmed, a confirmation email with instructions for class and how to pay will be sent to the email provided in the registration.

Pickleball 101

Single, 90 minute class designed to teach the basics of the game.  Each paid registration includes a paddle to keep.

Class dates:

May 23

June 9

July 11

August 29

Saturday classes begin at 10:00 am, Tuesday classes begin at 6:00 pm.

Cost:  $20 (includes paddle to keep)

4 Week  Learn to Play

Level – Beginner 1:
For players with little to no experience. This covers basics with more time spent on each skill, including etiquette, scoring, hitting techniques, and footwork.

– Class 1: Introduction to the game, safety, equipment, and basic rallies.
– Class 2: Positioning and scoring basics.
– Class 3: Dinking and transition zone movement.
– Class 4: Rules, strategies, and supervised games.

4 Weeks, 60 minutes each week.

Class  dates: 

#1: June 6, 13, 20 and 27

#2:  June 30, July 7, 14 and 21

Saturday classes begin at 10:00 am, Tuesday classes begin at 6:00 pm.

Cost:  $80 (includes paddle to keep)

4 Week  Learn to Play

Level – Beginner 2:
For players that have completed Beginner 1 or have basic knowledge of scoring and court placement.  Focuses on skill development, balance and controlled shots. 

– Class 1: Attacking balls.
– Class 2: Third shot drop.
– Class 3: Block and punch volleys.
– Class 4: Overheads, lobs and switches.

4 Weeks, 60 minutes each week.

Class  dates: 

#1: July 25, August 8, 15 and 22

All classes begin at 10:00 am.

Section Break

The court nets and windscreen will be taken down for the winter season during the week of Thanksgiving, and the court area will be locked for the winter to prevent damage to the courts.

The courts will be unlocked and ready for play mid April.
